In July, the Tasmanian Beekeepers Association will host its annual conference in Launceston.
This will also bring together the Australian Honey Bee Industry Council and the Crop Pollination Association of Australia for a combined national event.
Together, we’ll deliver an inspiring program featuring leading speakers, workshops, and networking opportunities – plus a celebration of everything that makes Australian beekeeping unique.
What’s happening
Join the Tasmanian beekeeping community for two days of practical sessions, industry updates, trade displays, and networking – plus the Gala Conference Dinner, a “mystery tour” experience and dinner showcasing some of Tassie’ s best local produce – including honey!
Program note
The program is still being finalised, but it’s shaping up well. Expect practical sessions on Varroa lessons from the mainland, the latest research, safety for people and businesses, and honey marketing in a competitive marketplace – plus the TBA AGM & Forum. We’ll publish updates as we get closer to the event.
What your registration includes
Conference days (Friday & Saturday)
Conference tickets include venue catering (morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea)
Friday Conference Dinner (official dinner)
A relaxed buffet dinner with a cash bar, plus the auction/raffle fun.
Saturday Mystery Tour + Dinner
We’ re planning a Saturday afternoon mystery tour – a fun, hands-on experience with a distinctly Tasmanian flavour – followed by dinner at a local venue showcasing some of Tasmania’s amazing local produce, with honey and honey-product highlights. The winers of the prestigious annual honey competition will be announced too. Details will be revealed closer to the date. Places will be limited.
Sunday 12 July – AHBIC Annual Meeting
AHBIC wilt be holding its annual meeting on Sunday. See event link on the AHBIC web site.

Accommodation is available onsite at Country Club Tasmania (Resort rooms and Villas).
